Pourquoi avez-vous cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 obtenir le titre?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

J\u2019ai consacr\u00e9 beaucoup de temps \u00e0 rester \u00e0 la fine pointe de mon domaine. J\u2019aimais constater que mes coll\u00e8gues le remarquaient. Je crois qu\u2019il existe une saine concurrence entre praticiens en milieu de carri\u00e8re qui incite \u00e0 se garder \u00e0 jour et \u00e0 en tirer une certaine reconnaissance, parce qu\u2019il y a une vague de nouveaux dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s brillants qui s\u2019en vient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O\u00f9 en sera la profession dans 25 ans?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avec la quantit\u00e9 de recherche qui se fait, la profession est en train de gagner douloureusement sa validit\u00e9 scientifique. C\u2019est un processus n\u00e9cessaire, mais je crains que nous manquions la cible en minimisant l\u2019importance de la nuance dans notre profession. J\u2019entrevois un avenir dans lequel des preuves rigides continueront d\u2019\u00eatre recherch\u00e9es et valoris\u00e9es, tout autant que le recours au raisonnement clinique, \u00e0 la sagesse et au rapport personnel avec nos patients. Peut-\u00eatre sommes-nous pass\u00e9s de l\u2019\u00e8re du \u00ab gourou clinique \u00bb des ann\u00e9es 1970 et 1980 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e8re moderne du \u00ab gourou scientifique \u00bb et atteindrons-nous prochainement un \u00e9quilibre?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biographie<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Praticien depuis 1997, je suis certifi\u00e9 en physioth\u00e9rapie manuelle. Mes domaines de pr\u00e9dilection sont la physioth\u00e9rapie orthop\u00e9dique g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, les traumatismes m\u00e9dullaires, les \u00e9tourdissements et vertiges, l\u2019arthrite et les blessures sportives. J\u2019ai travaill\u00e9 quatre ans aux \u00c9tats-Unis, puis c\u2019est avec bonheur que je suis revenu \u00e0 Edmonton en 2002. Je m\u2019int\u00e9resse particuli\u00e8rement aux affections d\u00e9licates causant de la douleur qui ne r\u00e9pondent pas aux autres th\u00e9rapies. Je cherche des indices dans la fa\u00e7on dont se pr\u00e9sente le cas unique de chaque personne. J\u2019aime la collaboration, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse de r\u00e9unions de gestion de cas avec mes coll\u00e8gues internes ou encore de mentorat d\u2019\u00e9tudiants ou de nouveaux dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s. Je crois que nous comprenons beaucoup mieux notre domaine de pratique quand nous l\u2019enseignons \u00e0 la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de physioth\u00e9rapeutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
