L\u2019Association canadienne de physioth\u00e9rapie est fi\u00e8re d\u2019annoncer que Luc J. H\u00e9bert est le laur\u00e9at du prix de la Conf\u00e9rence comm\u00e9morative Enid-Graham 2025!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le prix de la Conf\u00e9rence comm\u00e9morative Enid-Graham est la r\u00e9compense la plus prestigieuse offerte par l\u2019Association. Lanc\u00e9 en 1980 en l\u2019honneur d\u2019Enid Graham, la fondatrice de l\u2019ACP (alors connue sous le nom de Canadian Association of Massage and Remedial Gymnastics), il couronne les efforts des membres de l\u2019Association s\u2019\u00e9tant d\u00e9marqu\u00e9s par leur leadership et leurs contributions \u00e0 la profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luc a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 exercer la physioth\u00e9rapie en 1982 lorsqu\u2019il a obtenu un baccalaur\u00e9at en physioth\u00e9rapie \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al. Il a ensuite obtenu une ma\u00eetrise en sciences biom\u00e9dicales en 1989. En 2001, Luc a obtenu un doctorat en m\u00e9decine exp\u00e9rimentale \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Laval, se sp\u00e9cialisant en troubles musculosquelettiques et en r\u00e9adaptation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luc a consacr\u00e9 une grande partie de sa carri\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019arm\u00e9e, servant dans les Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes (FAC) en tant que responsable de la physioth\u00e9rapie offrant des soins de physioth\u00e9rapie au personnel de l\u2019arm\u00e9e canadienne pendant 14 ans, puis en tant que directeur national de l\u2019entra\u00eenement en physioth\u00e9rapie pendant 14 ans \u00e9galement. Sous son leadership, un mod\u00e8le de pratique d\u2019acc\u00e8s direct a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en \u0153uvre dans 30 bases militaires au Canada et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger afin d\u2019offrir des soins de physioth\u00e9rapie de grande qualit\u00e9 dans la garnison et lors des d\u00e9ploiements op\u00e9rationnels. Luc a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le central dans l\u2019\u00e9laboration des normes, de la qualit\u00e9 et de l\u2019accessibilit\u00e9 des soins de physioth\u00e9rapie offerts au personnel militaire dans le monde et le minist\u00e8re de la D\u00e9fense et l\u2019OTAN ont sollicit\u00e9 son expertise pour \u00e9laborer des normes de soins dans un contexte militaire.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luc est un chef de file r\u00e9put\u00e9 en physioth\u00e9rapie au Qu\u00e9bec. En 2014, il a cofond\u00e9 l\u2019Association qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise de physioth\u00e9rapie, r\u00e9unissant la profession au Qu\u00e9bec pour se concentrer sur un mandat commun. Dix ans plus tard, l\u2019Association a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le prix Luc J. H\u00e9bert<\/em>, sa plus prestigieuse distinction, pour reconna\u00eetre l\u2019influence exceptionnelle de Luc sur l\u2019avancement de la physioth\u00e9rapie dans la province. Et en juin 2025, Luc a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019Ordre professionnel de la physioth\u00e9rapie du Qu\u00e9bec (OPPQ).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La vision profonde et humaniste de Luc est ce qui le distingue. Il voit la physioth\u00e9rapie non pas comme une simple discipline, mais comme un outil servant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de vie de tous, y compris, et particuli\u00e8rement, les populations vuln\u00e9rables. Professeur passionn\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Laval, il a form\u00e9 de nombreuses g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de physioth\u00e9rapeutes et sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 b\u00e2tir des ponts entre la recherche, la pratique clinique et la communaut\u00e9 a influenc\u00e9 la prestation de soins de physioth\u00e9rapie \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La liste des r\u00e9alisations et des contributions de Luc est longue. Il a remport\u00e9 de nombreux prix prestigieux et a re\u00e7u de nombreuses distinctions, tout en incarnant l\u2019esprit et en vivant les valeurs fondatrices d\u2019Enid Graham. Luc est un leader, un visionnaire et un humanitaire exceptionnel qui a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 avoir un profond impact bien au-del\u00e0 de ses propres ambitions de carri\u00e8re. Son influence inspirante continuera de se faire sentir pour des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations \u00e0 venir.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luc sera honor\u00e9 au congr\u00e8s 2026 de l\u2019ACP <\/strong>et la conf\u00e9rence du laur\u00e9at du prix Enid-Graham aura lieu le vendredi 29 mai 2026 de 14 h 30 \u00e0 15 h 30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
