Shaun’s dedication to the profession extends beyond borders, and this is evident through his work with international health initiatives, WCPT, and as an executive member of the International Health Division.

Shaun has been involved with the Ottawa Student Health Initiative Malawi Project, the Global Health Education Consortium, and the Student University Network for Social and International Health. His work has taken him to Weeneebayko General Hospital in the small community of Moose Factory, Ontario.

For three years, Shaun has worked and volunteered in rehabilitation services in Haiti, always with a focus on development and capacity-building. With the Healing Hands for Haiti Foundation he provided direct services as a physiotherapist and developed a continuation education program for rehabilitation technician graduates. He was the coordinator of rehabilitation development for the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer and has since returned in this role following the devastation of the earthquake.
