My name is Anne Tulloch and I have been a Physiotherapist for over 30 years. I work in both the public and private sectors. This has obviously been a challenging time for so many of us. For me, my private position has been completely shut down (which obviously has had significant financial repercussions), and our community-based Chronic Pain Program with FH was in limbo. Our FH patients were left in a vulnerable position, lacking access to information and resources that could assist with managing their conditions and moving forward in a time where stress levels are at an all-time high for so many.
I am grateful for the team I work directly with at FH (OTs/PTs and RNs), for the other professions who support and consult to our program (Physician Pain Specialists/Pharmacy/Dietician), and for the management and virtual technology teams at FH who all supported us in getting virtual health 1:1 sessions and Chronic Pain education classes running.
We had our first sessions last week with great success, and we are all grateful that we are able to continue to support this specialized population. We really are all in this together!
To everyone, please stay healthy and stay safe!
