Amanda completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2016 at D’Youville University. She has been practicing Pelvic Health since then. She is a strong advocate for evidence-based practice and encourages continuing education. She is an instructor of Pelvic Health courses (D’youville University & Pelvic Health Solutions), and the owner and clinical director of a clinic in Toronto (Thrive Hive Physiotherapy). Outside of work, you will find Amanda walking her dog, taking a yoga class, or experimenting in the kitchen.
Rendalyn graduated with a MPT from the University of Saskatchewan and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne. She has taken the opportunity to work in multiple Canadian provinces in a variety of practice areas including rural/remote, pelvic health, and acute care physiotherapy. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, reading, and board game nights!
Julie is a rural physiotherapist working in the area of pelvic health and sports injury rehabilitation. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2014 and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2018. Julie pursues further education to better support her community and make healthcare more accessible. She is also working to improve accessibility to pelvic health through education and advocacy roles. Outside of her role as Physiotherapist, Julie enjoys working in general fitness, golfing and cross country skiing.
Alison is a physiotherapist who practices in both pelvic health and orthopaedics. She is passionate about lifelong learning, creating a positive patient experience, treating the whole person, and blending orthopaedic and pelvic health practices. Alison is currently on maternity leave with her first child, and is eager to practice what she preaches and explore post-natal fitness.
Marie-Ève finished her MSc in Physiotherapy in december 2023 after completing her BSc in Physiotherapy at Laval University. Her interest in pelvic health increased during her Bachelor’s degree and she wanted to become more involved in spreading the many benefits. Marie-ève practices in a rural area and will soon begin training in pelvic health in order to offer this service to people in her region. In her free time, she likes to play do crossfit, snowboard, listen to music, and spend time with her friends and family.
Catherine is currently completing the final year of her MSc in Physiotherapy at McMaster University after finishing her BSc in Kinesiology at Western University. During her time at Western, she volunteered in an exercise and pregnancy research lab, which sparked her interest in this field. Catherine is passionate about advocating for gender equality and pelvic health, and plans to practice in this area when she graduates. Outside of school, she loves staying active, baking, and art and crafts.
Sarah received her BSc.PT in 2004 from the University of Alberta, shortly after she completed her postgraduate pelvic health training, and this is where her passion has remained. She has been fortunate to see how pelvic health has been integrated into different health systems by working internationally in The Netherlands and, most recently, on a project in Peru. In September, she completed her MSc in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Alberta under Dr. Doug Gross and Dr. Linda McLean (University of Ottawa). Her research project was investigating patient-reported outcome measures used in the pelvic organ prolapse population for both surgical and conservative management settings.
Anne-Marie graduated from Laval University and has completed the Microprogram in perineal and pelvic rehabilitation from Montreal University. She practices in pelvic health and paediatrics and she’s currently the vice-president of the Quebec Physiotherapy Association. She thrives to advocate for pelvic care access throughout Canada. Outside of being an invested PT, Anne-Marie is a proud mom of two girls who loves long runs: in the winter, you might see her skiing downhill with them!
Dana practices in pelvic health, orthopaedics, and paediatrics. She completed her BSc and BHK degrees at UBC before completing her MScPT at the University of Alberta in 2011. Dana has been practicing in pelvic and women’s health physio for over 10 years now and is a member of UBC’s Advancing the Science of Physiologic Birth Research Cluster. Living in a ski town Dana takes every chance there is to get up the hill, which she especially loves to do with her two kids. When not skiing or working Dana loves to read curled up with her cats.
Concetta is a physiotherapy resident who works in pelvic health and orthopaedics. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2022 and Master of Science Degree in Physiotherapy in 2024. While completing her undergraduate degree, she worked in a women’s cardiovascular health lab and developed a passion for this field. Concetta is committed to advancing her training through courses on pelvic pain, pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain and paediatric incontinence. She practices with a biopsychosocial approach and strives to engage patients as active team players in their care. In her spare time, Concetta enjoys reading, baking and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys exercising and Pilates.
