Pelvic and Reproductive Health Division’s Speaker Series
The Pelvic and Reproductive Health Division’s Speaker Series are held at different physiotherapy programs across Canada, recorded, and then posted here on the Student Centre page to be accessible to members of the PRHD. The goal of these talks are to promote women’s health and to educate our future colleagues on different areas of women’s health. If you are interested in participating as a speaker or hosting an event at your school, please contact prhstudentrep@gmail.com.
We are looking for:
- Researchers/PTs who would be interested in presenting
- Suggested topics include:
- Breast and gynecological cancers, pregnancy/postpartum health, transgender health, diabetes, aging, bone health, domestic violence, HIV and AIDS, pelvic floor dysfunction, lymphedema, or cardiovascular disease issues that are particularly relevant to women
- Suggested topics include:
- PT students who would like to get involved with the PRHD by:
- Hosting a speaker at their school
- Advertising the event to their classmates
- Recording the talk to send it to prhstudentrep

Annual Valentine’s Day Challenge
On February 14th each year PT students across the country organize a collection drive for new, unused toiletries, feminine hygiene products, and incontinence supplies for local women’s shelters.
If you are interested in organizing a collection drive for your school, please contact prhstudentrep@gmail.com for more information. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the PRHD and give back to your community!
Are you interested in becoming a Pelvic and Reproductive Health Physiotherapist?
Our Entry to Practice Bursary is designed to support students and new graduates interested in pursuing continuing education in women’s health and/or pelvic health. This $1,500 bursary is offered annually, with applications opening in mid-February of each year.
