Permanent Full Time Physical Therapist Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a physical therapist to join our multi-professional team at Hillside Physical Health & Fitness in Prince Albert, SK. dynamic and supportive team that includes Exercise Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychology and serves the city of Prince Albert as well as the surrounding area and the northern population.
We are looking for applicants who are keen to learn, are able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be team players and who can prioritize their workloads with a patient focused approach. The successful applicant will have a desire to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of orthopaedic rehabilitation in acute care with the possibility of taking on a role in multi-disciplinary treatment. The position would ideally suit a therapist who is looking to continue to expand their clinical skills in an outpatient physical therapy setting; new grads are welcome. Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science or Masters in Physical Therapy degree, recognized by the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists.

Main Duties of the Job:
Assess and identify the individual needs of your patients; clinically diagnose and implement appropriate treatment plans in a manner that respects peoples privacy, dignity, and individuality.
Formulate and deliver an individualized physiotherapy treatment program, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic handling, patient education, provision of exercises (individual/group), and other alternative options. Provide advice and information to patients on exercise as well as lifestyle changes based on assessments, observations, and measurements.
Record and report findings appropriately following the standard procedures used by the clinic to maintain high levels of written/verbal communication.
Evaluate patient progress, reassess and alter treatment programs as required.
Determine accurate prognoses and recommend best course of intervention, developing comprehensive discharge plans, liaising with GPs, consultants, insurers and other professional colleagues as appropriate.

Ability to focus on your clinical work only – full administrative support for scheduling, billing, laundry etc.
Full schedule and regular support in building your patient caseload. Initially, follow up appointments would be scheduled every half hour with a full hour open for assessments.

Private assessment / treatment rooms with electric treatment tables and a well- equipped gym complete with turf.
