Instructor Biography
Dr Osman Ahmed is the Physiotherapy Lead for Para Football at the Football Association (England) and a Physiotherapist at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust (England). He trained as a Physiotherapist at the University of Nottingham (England), before undertaking his Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy and subsequently his PhD at the University of Otago (New Zealand) on concussion in sport. He is employed by the Football Association (FA) to work as a Physiotherapist with their elite disability squads and he worked at both the 2008 Beijing and 2016 Paralympic Games. He also holds the position of Visiting Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth (England). Since completing his PhD he has both published and presented widely on concussion in sport. Osman is a Co-Chair of the Concussion in Para Sport Group, and was a member of the Scientific Committee for the 6th International Conference on Concussion in Sport in 2022.
