By becoming a member of CPA, you are helping to raise the awareness of Canadian physiotherapists both nationally and internationally. Programs are run each year to government, consumers and other health practitioners to strengthen physiotherapy’s standing as a profession.

The peer-reviewed scientific journal for physiotherapy in Canada. Published by the University of Toronto Press, Physiotherapy Canada is available online for free to all CPA members, and in print for a small annual fee. Founded in 1923, the journal gives direction to clinical science and reasoning, knowledge translation, therapeutic skills and patient-centred care in physiotherapy.

PEDro is the Physiotherapy Evidence Database. PEDro is a free database of over 33,000 randomised trials, systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines in physiotherapy. For each trial, review or guideline, PEDro provides the citation details, the abstract and a link to the full text, where possible. All trials on PEDro are independently assessed for quality. These quality ratings are used to quickly guide users to trials that are more likely to be valid and to contain sufficient information to guide clinical practice.
