Looking for a Registered Physiotherapist to take over an existing physiotherapy caseload.

Clinic Description

Main Street Chiropractic Clinic, located in beautiful Grimsby, Ontario, is a multi-disciplinary health care clinic. The clinic offers chiropractic care, physiotherapy, massage therapy and naturopathy.

The clinic focuses on musculoskeletal care in both a general and athletic population. We are the preferred provider for the Grimsby Peach Kings Junior C hockey team. You would be working alongside 2 chiropractors, 3 massage therapists and a naturopath. Great opportunities for collaboration and referrals among the professions. No WSIB or MVA patients.

Role Description

Our current Physiotherapist is going on maternity leave in March 2024, and has a full caseload (40-50 patients/week) that needs to be covered. There is flexibility for part-time or full-time hours, as well as the opportunity to stay on with the clinic once the contract is done. Strong compensation package available.

The Physiotherapist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete patient records, communicating with other healthcare professionals, and participating in clinical meetings. Assessments are 1 hour long and follow ups are 30 minutes long, creating a nice patient flow of only 2 patients an hour. The Physiotherapist would have access to their own room with Cardon hydraulic bed and gym space with treadmill, bike, free weights, etc.

The current Physiotherapist is an instructor at the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture course so there is opportunity for mentorship upon her return.

All bookings and billing is done through the full time reception and is not a responsibility of the Physiotherapist’s.

Responsibilities

  • Have valid insurance to practice Physiotherapy in Ontario (proof required)
  • Assess and diagnose patients’ physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities
  • Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for managing their conditions and preventing further injury
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy
  • Registered Physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • McMaster Acupuncture / use of electro-acupuncture is an asset as the existing Physiotherapist is a Clinical Instructor of the course
  • Shift Concussion is also an asset
