Physical Therapy Faculty Job Posting (3 positions)

Applications are invited from qualified individuals for three (3) full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position with the School of Rehabilitation Science, College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. Successful candidates will teach in the Master of Physical Therapy Program, supervise MSc and PhD graduate students, initiate, lead, and participate in research activities, compete successfully for external funding to support their research program, and undertake relevant administrative activities including meetings and committee work.

The School of Rehabilitation Science’s mission is excellence in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science teaching, research, scholarship, and leadership to improve the quality of life and well-being for all people of Saskatchewan and beyond.   As the only Physical Therapy program in the province, the School has an active research program across a broad range of initiatives, collaborating with several local, provincial, and national research groups. The successful candidate will join our team and assist in advancing our strategic plan focused on establishing a hub for rehabilitation science education, research, and community engagement, strengthening Indigenous initiatives, progressing our graduate programming, and enhancing inter-professional collaborative practice and research.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure in the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists, hold or be nearing completion of a PhD or equivalent Doctoral degree, and have at least two years of clinical practice experience. Post-doctoral research experience is an asset.

We are seeking candidates with an interest and ability to engage in scholarly activities across a broad spectrum of practice areas, which may include foundations in physical therapy, cardio-respiratory, musculoskeletal, neuro rehabilitation, and professional practice.

The current salary band for an Assistant Professor position is $99,945 to $120,099. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package which includes a dental, health and extended vision care plan; pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), academic long-term disability, sick leave, travel insurance, death benefits, an employee assistance program, a professional expense allowance, and a flexible health and wellness spending program.
