Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist for a full-time permanent position to join our team at PhysioPlus in Whitehorse. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional patient care and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions and medical histories.
Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and individual patient goals.
Implement evidence-based physiotherapy techniques and modalities to promote recovery and improve functional outcomes.
Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize results.
Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, exercises, and self-care techniques.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, chiropractors, and massage therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Stay informed about advancements in the field of physiotherapy through continuing education and professional development activities.
Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards, as well as clinic policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physiotherapist in the Yukon.
Demonstrated clinical experience in assessing and treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to providing patient-centered care with a focus on achieving optimal outcomes.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
