In that capacity, Dr. MacKay-Lyons will spearhead initiatives such as re-engaging the International Advisory Board, reviewing key journal metrics, and revisiting the MEDLINE application. Dr. Brooks will continue to focus on managing submissions, engaging reviewers, and facilitating editorials and commentaries.

Dr. Marilyn MacKay-Lyons, PT, PhD

Dr. MacKay-Lyons received her BScPT from University of Toronto, MScPT from University of Southern California, and PhD (Physiology) from Dalhousie University. She is a Post-Retirement Adjunct Professor in the Dalhousie University School of Physiotherapy, an Affiliated Scientist with the Nova Scotia Health, and a cross-appointee with the Dalhousie University Department of Medicine. Marilyn has extensive clinical and research experience in neuro-rehabilitation, with a particular focus on exploring strategies to optimize recovery after stroke. She has received several awards in recognition of her contributions to neuro-rehabilitation research and outreach over the years. For the past two decades Marilyn has been involved in the on-going development of Physiotherapy Canada and is thrilled to team up with Dr. Dina Brooks as co-editor.
