Kootenay Lake Hospital (KLH) has an immediate permanent part-time (0.62 FTE) opening available in the beautiful Kootenay Boundary region. In this challenging and rewarding health care profession, the Physiotherapist has opportunity to choose variety in their practice and to interact with a lot of different patient populations. The Physiotherapist has opportunity to work up to full time on a regular basis.

Kootenay Lake Hospital provides core medical and surgical specialty services to patients throughout its service area. In this position the Physiotherapist will primarily work with inpatient acute care clients, including general medical, ICU, Acute Orthopedics and Emergency Department patients and Outpatient Clinic as required. And may be required to provide coverage at long-term care facility Nelson Jubilee Manor. Regular days of work are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 08:00 to 16:00 hours.

Majority of clients seen will be elderly and adult assisting them to reach their desired functional status. You will help in providing treatment programs which allow clients to be safe and improve their quality of life. You will act as a physiotherapy resource for other members of the health care team. You will participate in approved physiotherapy and interdisciplinary research and special projects in collaboration with designated personnel/team and other health care professionals.

Qualifications
• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Valid Driver’s license where required.
